Shingles come in an array of colors and blends, and a variety of shapes. Flat shingles are often referred to as “3 tab.” Shingles that are not flat but have dimension to them are called “dimensional" or "architectural.” All shingles have different wind ratings, algae ratings, and warranties. The common warranty of most shingles are 20 years, 25 years, and 30 years. There are products that are also available in a lifespan of 40 years and 50 years plus. |
